Hand Signed by Picasso

This is considered and After Picasso Lithograph.
What that means is under Picasso's supervision, another artist drew Picasso's orginal work into the lithostone that was used to print this lithograph.
Picasso then hand signed the stone (so his signature appears in the print) and then also hand signed the original print.
A common practice as the marketplace defintiely recognizes this as a Picasso edition and a highly collectible work of art.
This image was printed in blue, pink, black and yellow, with the blue and the pink edition available for sale here.
Image size 13 x 19 inches, paper size 21 x 15, and the framed size of the pink edition is 31 x 38 inches.
Printing is on a Japon (Rice) paper.
Seen for sale at retail galleries in the last few years from $15,000 - $35,000.

Exposition Vallauris (1956)

During the 10 or so year period that Picasso spent in Vallauris, France,
mainly creating Pottery, he would
put on a yearly exposition of his work.
And to promote his expositions he would create a limited edition linocut, which is like a lithograph, but instead of the images being printed on to paper from a metal plate, they are printed from a sheet of linoleum.
This one is from his 1956 exposition and is an edition of 200.
Seen on the market in the $15-$20,000 range, priced here for only $11,500.00 unframed.

This edition from 1958 is recognized as one of his best works from this series.
The print is quite large 39" x 25" and this example is framed to 51" x 37".

15,000 were printed, how many survie today, no one knows, but they are collectible works of Picasso artwork for a reasonable price.
